Virsa and Chetanya Shine at DU Lit Fest 1.0
We are proud to share that our college cultural societies — Virsa and Chetanya — successfully represented the college at the DU Literature Festival 1.0, organized in association with the University Cultural Council, on 13 February 2026.
Virsa presented a folk performance on the Theme of Jaggo. The performance highlighted the vibrant Punjabi tradition of Jaggo — a pre-wedding celebration symbolizing joy, awakening, and community spirit. Through energetic movements, rhythmic beats, and expressive choreography, the society beautifully reflected the warmth, unity, and festive spirit of Punjabi culture.
Chetanya presented a compelling classical performance based on the theme of Mahabharat. Through refined technique, expressive abhinaya, and powerful storytelling, the society explored the epic’s moral dilemmas, timeless characters, and philosophical depth. Their performance emphasized the enduring relevance of the Mahabharat in shaping cultural and ethical imagination, while demonstrating strong discipline, coordination, and artistic excellence.
Both societies delivered their performances with confidence and grace, bringing pride and recognition to the college through their outstanding representation.
