Mata Sundri College for Women celebrated its cultural annual two-day program 'Saarang'

New Delhi, 20 February (Sukhraj Singh): Mata Sundri College for Women, Delhi University, celebrated its annual cultural program 'Saarang' with great enthusiasm. Approximately 700 students from various colleges in Delhi-NCR participated enthusiastically in this two-day program, which transformed the campus into a dynamic center of creativity, collaboration, and cultural harmony. The program began with a prayer, followed by the lighting of the lamps ceremony. In her inaugural address, Mata Sundri College Principal Prof. Harpreet Kaur emphasized the importance of values to move forward in any field with pride and confidence. The fair was attended by students, teachers and non-teaching staff, esteemed guests and dignitaries including Professor Amita Dev, Jagdeep Singh Kahlon, Raman deep Singh Thapar, Prithipal Singh, Kulbir Singh, Prof. Rewel Singh, Rajinder Singh, Rajiv Garg and Dr. Maninder Kaur. The two-day event showcased various competitions, providing a platform for students to showcase their talent in events like Guru Nanak Paper Reading, Sursarita (classical solo-vocal), Awaaz-e-Sarang, (classical, folk and western dance), Sanskrit Shlokavritti and Nukkad Natak (street play). Participants also explored their creative side through events like Ad-O-Mania and Rang Barse (mehndi and rangoli competitions), while others challenged their intellect in Code-A-Bon and Brain Teaser. Various vibrant stalls with food, art and interactive activities added more color and excitement to the festive atmosphere. A major attraction of the program was its grand finale, which featured a spectacular performance by the famous Punjabi singer Harbhajan Mann. In a continuous two-and-a-half-hour program, he created a musical atmosphere among the students. His dynamic stage presence, soulful voice and charming energy created an unforgettable atmosphere which mesmerized the audience.
