Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi, New Delhi, in collaboration with Punjabi Sahit Sabha, Punjabi Bhawan, New Delhi, is organising a Two-Day Language Festival titled “Bhasha Mein Loktantra – A Language Festival 2026.”

The festival will be held on 24–25 March 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mata Sahib Kaur Auditorium in the college premises. The event aims to bring together eminent scholars, policymakers, writers, and intellectuals to deliberate on significant themes related to language and society.

The festival will focus on important topics such as mother tongue and school education, language and democracy, language in the era of the global market, linguistic dominance over knowledge, and the role of regional languages in nation-building. Through these discussions, the festival seeks to create a meaningful platform for dialogue on the cultural, educational, and democratic dimensions of language.

The event is being organised under the guidance of Prof. Harpreet Kaur, Principal, with Prof. Lokesh K. Gupta, Director, IQAC, and coordinated by Dr. Harwinder Singh.
