Mata Sundri Innovation and Incubation Cell (MSIIC) is the institutional innovation and entrepreneurship body of Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi, established to nurture creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, and innovation among students. The cell also functions as a Career Development Cell (CDC), with a strong focus on guiding students towards informed career decisions by providing exposure to diverse career paths, industry requirements, entrepreneurial opportunities, and skill-based learning. Operating under the Udhmodya Foundation, University of Delhi, and aligned with the vision of Samarth Bharat, MSIIC works to integrate innovation, career readiness, and skill development, especially empowering women students to become self-reliant, confident, and future-ready professionals.

As part of its innovation-driven initiatives, MSIIC has actively encouraged student entrepreneurship by facilitating participation in the Udhmodya Startup Accelerator Programme (27–28 October 2023), where the college’s student team was shortlisted among the Top 100 teams out of over 400 teams from institutions across India. The women-led team received appreciation from industry experts and panellists for presenting a creative and innovative startup idea, reflecting the cell’s commitment to promoting innovation and leadership among students. Additionally, MSIIC has provided hands-on entrepreneurial exposure through multiple stall-based activities during college events and festive melas, where students showcased and sold products such as candles, fragrances, home décor items, paintings, photo frames, jewellery, and handicrafts, enabling them to gain real-world experience in marketing, customer engagement, and business operations.In its role as a Career Development Cell, MSIIC has organized several career-oriented and skill-building programmes to enhance students’ professional awareness and readiness. Notable initiatives include the workshop “My Career Choice: Overcoming Barriers to Career Advancement”, conducted under Samarth Bharat, which focused on helping students understand career challenges, explore opportunities, and make informed career decisions through expert guidance. Further strengthening technical and industry exposure, MSIIC, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science, NSS Unit, and IIT Bombay Techfest, organized a Hands-on Robotics Workshop, offering students practical exposure to emerging technologies and experiential learning beyond the classroom.

To further promote entrepreneurial awareness, MSIIC organized the MSME Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (8 December 2023) in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, where students were introduced to government schemes, startup support systems, and opportunities available for budding entrepreneurs through an interactive session conducted by MSME officials. Through these diverse initiatives, MSIIC has consistently contributed to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, technical skills, and career preparedness among students, aligning institutional efforts with national development goals and the broader vision of Samarth Bharat.
